TOWN OF NEWBURGH – Police
have arrested a 24-year-old Newburgh town resident for allegedly claiming
that he had nude photos of a woman and would place them online to ruin
her life. Town Police said Kyle Meissner created a fake Facebook profile
account in an attempt to extort nude photos and money from the victim.
He allegedly tried to get nude photos of herself and friends for an undisclosed
amount of money in exchange for not posting photos.
Meissner was arrested on December 14 and was charged with felony grand
larceny and misdemeanors of coercion and aggravated harassment.
The investigation is continuing and Town of Newburgh Police are looking
into the possibility of additional victims. If anyone has had similar
incidents, they are asked to call Lt. Peter Talarico or Det. Michael Sisia
