Little left after Monday fire
TAGHKANIC – Fire of undetermined origin leveled a house at 410 Taghkanic Road in the Town of Taghkanic. There were no reports of injuries.
The fire was called in to Columbia County 911 dispatch at around 12:30 p.m. on Monday and when firefighters arrived on the scene, the house was fully engulfed in flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Police, Taghkanic Fire Department, Columbia County Cause and Origin Team and the state Office of Fire Prevention.
