NEW PALTZ – The New Paltz Police Department will again participate in the American Cancer Society Fundraiser “No-Shave November.”
The goal of the event is to grow awareness by “embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free,” said Police Chief Joseph Snyder.
Money usually spent on shaving and grooming will be donated to the Cancer Society.
“This terrible disease has an impact on every one of us, whether it is our family, friends or even our own personal fight,” Snyder. “We must continue to work together and fight this disease, find a cure and continue to save lives.”
This will be the fourth year the New Paltz department has participated in “No-Shave November.” Last year, the department raised over $3,700.
