NEWBURGH – It was one community coming together on Saturday evening as residents of greater Newburgh participated in an Ecumenical Evening of Personal and Civil Soul Searching. Some 200 people participated at the Newburgh Jewish Community Center.
They came to meditate and look inward on how to combat the rise in racism and anti-Semitism bubbling up from underground around the country.
The gathering brought together Muslims, Christians and Jews for an evening
of song, prayer and discussion.
