State invests in Smart School plan to close Digital Divide

ALBANY – The state has granted funding for Hudson Valley school districts to close the Digital Divide through the Smart Schools program.
The funding will modernize classrooms and equip students with the skills they need to thrive in the global economy.  The funding comes from a $2 billion bond approved by voters.
Smart School Investment plans in the region include:

Carmel Central School District – $1.3 million
Chappaqua Central School District – $453,000
Cornwall Central School District – $1.1 million
Croton-Harmon Union Free School District – $346,000
East Ramapo Central School District (Spring Valley) – $3.37 million
Eastchester Union Free School District – $477,200
Garrison Union Free School District – $78,400
Goshen Central School District – $1.34 million
Haldane Central School District – $248,000
Haverstraw-Stony Point (North Rockland) – $2.6 million
Hyde Park Central School District – $1.95 million
Kinderhook Central School District – $252,000
Mahopac Central School District – $196,700
Newburgh City School District – $5.1 million
Ossining Union Free School District – $1.48 million
Pine Bush Central School District – $939,500
Pine Plains Central School District – $690,000
Putnam Valley Central School District – $681,600
Sullivan West Central School District – $425,000
Wappingers Central School District – $481,500
Yonkers City School District – $3.83 million

Special Education Smart School Investment Plans:

Anderson Center for Autism, $35,200
Westchester School for Special Children – $77,400.
