MONTICELLO – A Liberty man was sentenced to seven years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision for the burglary of a Liberty home.
Nicholas Daly, 34, was sentenced by Sullivan County Court Judge Michael McGuire following his guilty plea to felony burglary for breaking into a home on Loomis Road in the Town of Liberty where he stole various property. The stolen items were later recovered.
Daly was arrested by State Police. He was sentenced as a second felony offender having been convicted for attempted burglary in Suffolk County Court in 2008.
“Home burglary continues to be a priority for my office and my law enforcement partners and we will continue to hold individuals like Daly, who violate the sanctity and privacy of our homes, accountable and responsible for their actions with state prison sentences,” said District Attorney James Farrell.
