Saugerties man accused of stealing jewelry, daughter’s credit card

SAUGERTIES – Police in Saugerties charged a man with the theft of jewelry and a credit card from a village resident with whom he was staying.
Shawnee Riley, 20, allegedly stole several pieces of jewelry and the
resident’s daughter’s credit card, then sold the jewelry to a Saugerties
antique store where he was given $500. He is also accused of making unauthorized
purchases with the stolen credit card.
Riley is charged with felony grand larceny and misdemeanor criminal possession of stolen property.  He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to local court.
