ALBANY – The barge that ran aground on rocks on the Hudson River off Catskill on Tuesday was refloated and sailed to Albany Wednesday morning.
After visual inspections, the Meredith Reinauer tug brought the barge with 60,000 barrels of refined gasoline to its destination. It arrived at around 7 a.m. escorted by another tug, the Mary Kay.
The Coast Guard said at this time there are no signs of pollution as a result of the grounding.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation. No one was reported injured.
