GOSHEN – As more job opportunities open up in Orange and other neighboring counties, one top county official wants to develop more training opportunities for job seekers.
Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus has plans to open three educational centers, one in each city – Port Jervis, Middletown and Newburgh.
“Many of the employers in Orange County are telling he they are having hard time finding workers; our unemployment is low, some people need special training, some people need education,” he said.
Neuhaus wants to partner with SUNY Orange and possibly Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh to provide additional job skills.
