PEEKSKILL – A Peekskill
man is in custody following his arrest Wednesday on charges that he is
responsible for a string of larcenies from vehicles throughout the City
of Peekskill over the past weekend.

Tyler Daniel, 24, was taken into custody at his Constant Avenue home.
He is believed to have stolen thousands of dollars in property including
credit cards, which he used to purchase goods from several locations.

Many items recovered from Daniel are being examined with most believed
to be proceeds from the larcenies. Police are asking anyone who may have
been a victim to contact them in an effort to identify the recovered property.

Daniel is being held on one count of criminal possession of stolen property
as a felony with additional charges expected to be filed once the case
is referred to the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.

Anyone with additional information or wishing to contact police to inquire
about stolen property is asked to call 914-737-8000.

Police also remind motorists to lock their cars and remove all valuables
noting that Daniel targets vehicles that were left unlocked.
