CARMEL – A Mahopac woman was arrested on a felony charge of bail jumping for failing to appear for a court appearance on a drug charge.
Kerry Massi, 53, was arrested last August by Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies on a charge of possession and sale of the prescription drug oxycodone. She was released from county jail after posting $5,000 bail, but failed to appear in Carmel Justice Court in November as required as a condition of release on bail.
A warrant was issued for Massi’s arrest and on December 20 she was taken into custody. She is the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
If found guilty of the bail jumping charge, she could face up to seven years in state prison.
