TOWN OF WALLKILL – A house collapse on Meadow Lake Drive in the Circleville area of the Town of Wallkill shortly after 6 a.m. Monday was reported to have been caused by a propane gas explosion. All occupants were able to get out of the structure without injuries.
Town Supervisor Daniel Depew said an electric alarm clock was found outside the rubble and it had stopped at 6:05 a.m., leading authorities to believe that was the time of the explosion.
The incident remains under investigation.
