TOWN OF KENT – A 58-year-old Massachusetts man was killed early
Monday morning when his car ran off I-84 in the Town of Kent, crashed
into the median, struck a rock cut and a tree.
State Police from the East Fishkill barracks said the car caught fire
following the impact. The driver, an East Longmeadow resident, was pronounced
dead at the scene of the 2 a.m. accident.
Also responding to the crash site were Lake Carmel Fire Department, EMStar
ambulance and Putnam County Coroner Dr. Daniel Stephens.
