MIDDLETOWN – City Police in Middletown have charged a 26-year-old
Middletown man with murder in connection with his seven-week-old son,
Zachary Heil.
Michael Heil was arrested on Wednesday following an investigation into
the baby’s death.
Little Zachary died due to complications from a brain injury at Westchester
Medical Center on August 22, 14 days after police responded to a medical
call for an unresponsive person at the Heil residence in Middletown.
Michael Heil was arraigned by Middletown City Court Judge Steven Brockett
and remanded to the Orange County Jail without bail.
