WHITE PLAINS – A Mohegan Lake woman was arraigned on a felony complaint charging her with felony grand larceny.
Cheryl Higgins, 51, the former office manager for dentist Dr. David Sandak of Advanced Periodontics and Implant Dentistry of Westchester allegedly stole over $500,000 from her employer between December 2007 and March 2015.
The Westchester District Attorney’s Office said Higgins opened an unauthorized business credit card and by used Dr. Sandak’s personal credit card account. She paid for her own personal expenses using the dentist’s funds and to purchase items for herself and her family without permission or authority to do so.
Bail was set at $100,000.
If convicted, Higgins faces up to 15 years in state prison.
