GOSHEN – A 37-year-old Newburgh man was sentenced in Orange County Court to eight years in state prison and three years of post-release supervision in connection with his guilty plea to drug possession.

This was the fifth felony drug conviction for Devine Williams.

As alleged, on at least two dates in March 2021, Williams sold heroin to an undercover officer in the State Police.

At plea proceedings, Williams admitted to possessing heroin with intent to sell.

“Recidivist drug dealers who persist in their deadly actions must face significant incarceration in order to ensure the safety of our communities,” said District Attorney David Hoovler.
