The two residents, Mario Shelley, 35, and Hilda Lasanta, 40, were not home at the time, but were arrested within two days of the June 24 raid. That investigation yielded a small amount of cash from Shelley’s room and heroin and marijuana from Lasanta’s room. Police said during the investigation, purchases of cocaine and heroin were made by undercover officers from Shelley.
Shelley was charged with felonies of criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance and criminal nuisance as well as the misdemeanor of criminally using drug paraphernalia. He is in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000.
Lasanta was charged with misdemeanor drug possession and unlawful possession of marijuana. She was released on an appearance ticket.
