KINGSTON – A 30-year-old Kingston woman, who was convicted by an Ulster County Court jury last fall for possession of guns and drugs, pled guilty to felony drug charges in the middle of a second trial on other charges.

Corena Kelley’s current trial and conviction stems from a search warrant executed in her apartment on April 6, 2022 during which State Police recovered cocaine, heroin, narcotics preparation materials, and a digital scale.

Kelley had previously been convicted and sentenced to 7 1/3 to 10 years in state prison and is currently serving that sentence at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility.

District Attorney Emmanuel Nneji said her plea change is a recognition that Kelley’s “days of dealing dangerous drugs are over, hopefully for good.”

The DA’s office prosecuted this case in collaboration with the Violent Gangs Narcotics Enforcement Team and the State Police.
