TOWN OF ULSTER – The Thruway traffic circle in the Town of Ulster was shut down for some two hours on Monday when the load of construction material on a flatbed 18-wheeler shifted causing the truck to overturn.
No one was injured.
Ulster Town Police said Jason Katz, 56, was driving the truck for the A.H. Harris Construction Company of Watervliet when the load shifted, broke free and spilled onto the road, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Both lanes were partially blocked on the traffic circle, causing it to be shut down.
No tickets were immediately issued pending an investigation.
Ulster Police were assisted by the Ulster Hose Fire Department, Kingston Police, State Police, and State Departments of Environmental Conservation and Department of Transportation.

The busy traffic circle outside Kingston was closed for about two hours
