Connelly man sentenced to prison for DWI

KINGSTON – A Connelly man was sentenced to 2 1/3 to seven years in state prison for his conviction to driving while intoxicated. Michael Bigler, 51, was on probation for a prior conviction to felony aggravated DWI at the time of this incident on January 2, 2016. He had four prior convictions for driving while intoxicated, two of which are within the last 10 years.
In this latest case, Bigler drove his truck into the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on Ulster Avenue in Kingston and fled the scene after leaving his 16-year-old daughter behind. He then walked back to the parking lot after attempting to conceal the truck.
He was found to be highly intoxicated and had a blood alcohol content of 0.30 percent.
