AMENIA – A 52-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle as
he was apparently in the northbound lane of Route 22 in the Town of Amenia.

Theodore Miles, Jr. of Amenia lying in the road with serious injuries.
He was transported to Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, where he was pronounced
dead a short time later.

Preliminary investigation revealed the Lei Qu, 29, of New York City, was
driving a Toyota Camry when he encountered Miles in the roadway. He was
struck by the vehicle after Qu unsuccessfully attempted to avoid him.

to be actions of Miles. No charges were filed against. Qu.
