KINGSTON – A Kingston man is in the Ulster County Jail on charges of attacking a nurse while she was working at the Marys Avenue Campus of the Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston.
City Police said Mark Kasmir, 42, of Fairview Avenue, allegedly assaulted the 55-year-old woman at the hospital, grabbing her by the neck and strangling her. The victim suffered several injuries requiring treatment at the Broadway Campus of the hospital.
The incident occurred on April 26. The victim reported it to police
on April 29. An investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for
Kasmir, who was located later that evening.
