WHITE PLAINS – A 26-year-old Yonkers man was found guilty after
a jury trial in Westchester County Court on a murder charge. Pedro Delacruz,
who was also convicted on a felony charge of criminal possession of a
weapon, was convicted of shooting Victor Fitzgerald to death in Yonkers
on July 21, 2013.

The two men had apparently been involved in a long running feud.

Following investigation, it was determined that Delacruz had approached
Fitzgerald on Riverdale Avenue in Yonkers and shot him twice, once in
the chest and once in the lower back.

Delacruz was indicted by a grand jury on August 20, 2015 and arrested
on a warrant five days later.

When sentenced next month, he faces from 15 years to life in state prison.
