KINDERHOOK – The state Conservative Party endorsed John Faso in his bid for the 19th congressional seat.
Conservative Chairman Michael Long cited his “impressive fiscal record, his years of experience in the private and public sectors and his more than three decades of service to both his community and to New York State.”
Faso also hopes to run on the Republican line in the November election to replace Christopher Gibson, who is not seeking reelection and is considering a run for governor in 2018.
Faso has laid out “a constructive, conservative agenda to unleash private sector economic growth and bring jobs and opportunity back to Upstate New York,” Long said. Faso will provide “principled and dedicated leadership in Washington, the conservative chairman said.
