State trooper charged with stealing over $22,000 in landscaping equipment

SOMERS – A New York State trooper was arrested and charged with felony grand larceny. Marko Kos, 35, of Brewster, has been suspended without pay.
Kos, who is assigned to the Somers barracks, was allegedly involved in the theft of some $22,000 in landscaping equipment that was reported stolen to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office on September 25, 2014.  The theft occurred while Kos was off duty.
Kos has been a state trooper since September 2003 and has served in Troop K since then.
