MAHOPAC – A December 26th head-on crash between a car and motorcycle in Mahopac has resulted in the death of the biker.
The 11 p.m. crash occurred on Baldwin Place Road, near the intersection of Grand Meadow Drive. Killed in the crash was Zachary Zappala, 26, of Mahopac. The 24-year-old driver of the car declined medical attention.
Carmel Police were assisted by a State Police Reconstruction Unit.
No charges were filed pending the outcome of the accident investigation.
