BOSTON – Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus has been invited
to a Boston conference with 19 other county executives from around the
nation to discuss common issues.
The session, going on right now, is wide ranging, Neuhaus told MidHudsonNews.com.
“We meet with some of the academics and professors at Harvard University and we discuss the issues that are in front of our communities, how we are dealing with them, how they have heard or read or some of their ideas on it,” he said.
Discussions have ranged from youth incarceration, the size and cost of government and mandates, he said.
This is the second year Neuhaus has participated. He said he brought back to Orange County a host of information that is helpful for his administration.
