Two arrested by state troopers with the US Marshals Service

NEW YORK – State Police investigators of the Violent Felony Warrant
Squad assigned to the State Police Manhattan barracks and detailed with
the US Marshal’s Service NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force, have
arrested two men.

Josiah McTier, 39, of Brooklyn was taken arrested when he was released
from Greenhaven Correctional Facility in Stormville after completing a
state sentence. He was arrested again on a federal detainer from the Eastern
District of New York for federal racketeering charges.

In another case, Jalen Garrett, 18, of Middletown, was arrested. He had
been wanted by the New York City Police Department for conspiracy for
his involvement in gang-related narcotics and weapons crime in the Bronx.

Both men were turned over to the respective wanting agencies.
