Saugerties man charged with felony course of sexual contact against child

KINGSTON – State Police arrested an elderly Saugerties man for course of sexual conduct against a child as a felony.
An investigation determined that Albert Ames, 77, allegedly had sexual contact with a child under the age of 11. The abuse, which was recently reported, had occurred some 15 years ago at his Saugerties residence.
Ames was released on $5,000 cash bail pending a future court appearance.
