Police make arrests in three-community BB gun shooting spree

CHESTER – Three men are under arrest in connection with a number of BB gun shootings in the Village of Kiryas Joel and Town of Monroe.
Andrew Ippoliti, and Myroslav Kobernyk, both 18, and Patrick Boss, 20, all of Monroe, allegedly used BB guns to shoot at individuals and vehicles over  a three-day period. No one was seriously injured.
The men were taken into custody by Chester Town Police after similar shooting incidents there where police charged Ippoliti and Kobernyk with criminal mischief.
Troopers charges Ippoliti with three counts of reckless endangerment and menacing. Kobernyk and Boss were charged with one count each of reckless endangerment and menacing.  All three men posted bail and were released pending future court appearances.
 Kiryas Joel Public Safety Director Moses Witriol said the village has surveillance cameras installed at all entrances to the village and anyone caught committing a crime will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
