Newburgh plans “Back to School in the Park and Stop the Violence” event

NEWBURGH – With the start of school just around the corner, the City of Newburgh will hold a “Back to School in the Park and Stop the Violence” day on Sunday, August 30 in Downing Park. The event will run from 12 noon until 8 p.m.
Planned activities include live music at the Downing Park Pavilion as well as free giveaways for children from grades K through 12.  They will include notebooks and other school supplies.
A talent contest will also be held.
