PLATTEKILL – The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has arrested one teen and is looking for a second in connection with the attack on a 21-year-old woman at the Modena Country Club in Plattekill. The incident occurred around 12 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18. Deputies were called to that location for a report of a fight between two groups of people.
The victim, a 21-year-old woman, was semi-conscious and reported she had been attacked by a group of men. Investigation determined the men went to the country club to confront another group that the woman was part of, stemming from a dispute that occurred a few hours earlier.  The victim was transported by ambulance to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie for treatment of injuries to her face and body.
Later in the day on August 18, the sheriff’s office arrested a 17-year-old male from the Town of Plattekill. He was charged with felony assault and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000. He is eligible for youthful offender status.
Detectives are looking for a second suspect, James Collazo, Jr., 19. Authorities believe he fled to the New York City area.
An arrest warrant has been issued for his arrest on a felony assault charge.
