STONY POINT – A 17-year-old Stony Point resident has been arrested
twice in the past week in connection with two incidents in the town.

Stony Point Police arrested Michael Sparks of 195 Central Highway initially
on August 6 on charges of attempted burglary and criminal trespass after
it was alleged that he broke into a residence and fled when police arrived.
He was caught a short distance away.

On August 11, he was arrested again, this time on an arrest warrant charging
him with criminal mischief and criminal trespass involving a separate
incident.

Sparks was arraigned and released on his own recognizance stemming from
the August 6 crime, but was then remanded to the Rockland County Jail
in lieu of $5,000 cash bail on the arrest warrants.
