Middletown man charged with assaulting two-year-old

MIDDLETOWN – A Middletown was arrested on Tuesday on a charge that he assaulted a two-year-old child he knew while at a residence in the City of Port Jervis.
The Orange County Child Abuse Unit charged Adrian Booth, 29, with felony assault and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.  It is alleged that he intentionally caused physical injury to the child.
He was arrested following an investigation with the Orange County Department of Social Services’ Child Protective Service after a tip was called in to the state Child Abuse Hotline.
Booth was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $75,000 bond and an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
