POUGHKEEPSIE – The superintendent at Valley Central School District in Montgomery has been hired as the new district superintendent at Dutchess BOCES.
Dr. Richard Hooley will begin his new position on or before September 8.
BOCES Board President Edward McCormick said Hooley “will be a significant and important asset in achieving future mandates from the New York State Education Department and in assisting our component districts in fulfilling future regulations regarding Common Core and expanded learning requirements for students.”
Hooley has served at Valley Central for 13 years. He also has experience as an assistant superintendent in Phoenix, Arizona as well as a principal in Livingston Manor.
