Empire Center releases top pay of public agency officials

ALBANY – The president and CEO of Westchester
County Health Care Corporation, which operates Westchester Medical Center,
was paid $1.85 million during 2014, making him the highest salaried official
of any whose salaries are reported to the State Comptroller’s Office.

Salaries were reported on the Empire Center’s transparency website www.SeeThroughNY.net .
Westchester Med’s Michael Israel received total compensation last year of $1.85 million, according to the public records. Gary Brudnicki, the senior executive vice president, FFO and COO of the corporation, was paid a total of $1.1 million.
At the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the New York City metropolitan airports, bridges, the PATH trains, and the World Trade Center, Executive Director Patrick Foye earned a total of $289,667 last year.
The Port Authority also operates Stewart Airport near Newburgh.
The authority’s aviation director, Thomas Bosco, earned a total of $257,762 in 2014. Edmund Harrison, Stewart’s general manager, earned $157,144, according to the public records.
While Foye earned just under $290,000 in 2014, a public service police lieutenant earned $402,812.
