Martin: “restore civility and leadership …”

PEEKSKILL – Westside neighborhood resident and activist Kenneth Martin launched his campaign for mayor of the City of Peekskill on Saturday. He cited a need to “restore civility and leadership to what has become a broken City Hall.”
Martin said the atmosphere at City Hall over the last 17 months “threatens the gains this city has made.”
The 22-year resident of Peekskill is a history teacher in East Harlem.
Joining Martin on the Democratic ticket is Andre “Noodle” Rainey, who is seeking a seat on the common council. Running for re-election are Councilwomen Kathleen Talbot and Vivian McKenzie.
