NEW CITY – A Rockland County Court jury found a Pomona man guilty of grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, both felonies, in connection with the theft of six high-priced Michael Kors handbags from Lord and Taylor at the Palisades Center in West Nyack. The handbags had a total retail value of $1,838.
Keith Mulligan, 43, has several petit larceny convictions and one felony conviction. He was indicted by the Rockland County grand jury in 2012 for the same crime, committed at the same department store. In that case, he stole $1,000 worth of Michael Kors merchandise from Lord and Taylor.
When confronted in the 2012 case, Mulligan assaulted and injured a loss prevention officer.
He pled guilty to assault and was sentenced to one year in jail.
Mulligan faces up to four years in prison when sentenced on this latest case in April.
