HUDSON – The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Stockport man and charged him with being a fugitive from justice from the State of Vermont.
Everardus Proper, 37, was arrested by Investigator Patrick Logue and Deputy Cindy Madison when they stopped him for a traffic infraction while driving a vehicle on Atlantic Avenue in the Town of Stockport. A computer check revealed Proper was wanted in Vermont on a felony parole warrant for burglary.
Proper was arrested on Saturday, February 14 and placed in the Columbia County Jail without bail.
