MIDDLETOWN – Four finalist candidates for president of SUNY Orange have been chosen and they will be interviewed in person at the Middletown campus later this month.
The four were narrowed down from some 40 original candidates from across the country, said college Board Chairwoman Helen Ullrich.
“What is going on right now is our search consultant is vetting them, in other words, making sure that everything that we know about them is true,” Ulrich said. “Once that process is complete, the court candidates will be brought onto the campus and we have a schedule for that.”
They will each be in town for two days meeting with various college constituencies and the community. At that time their names will be made public.
Current SUNY Orange President William Richards is retiring at the end of this academic year.
