Amtrak rider charged with threatening other passengers

KINDERHOOK – A Winthrop, Massachusetts man was arrested Thursday evening in the Kinderhook area after he allegedly made threats to harm passengers on an Amtrak passenger train on which he was traveling.
Police arrested William Wood, 32, following a brief struggle and charged
him with menacing and making a terrorist threat. He was arraigned and
sent to the Columbia County Jail.
No Amtrak passengers or employees were injured during the incident.
The train was traveling from Boston to Albany and was delayed for about 45 minutes while the investigation was conducted.
Officers from the Amtrak Police Department assisted State Police with the investigation.
