Three arrested following Main Street fight in New Paltz

NEW PALTZ – Three men were arrested
following a large fight on Main Street in New Paltz early Saturday.

New Paltz Police and Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies were called
to the scene at 4 a.m. and attempted to disperse the crowd.
Miguel Abreu, 25, of New Paltz was observed fighting with others and was
arrested for disorderly conduct.

Robert Saunders, 22, of New Paltz, was charged with interfering and trying
to pull him away from another individual. He was charged with obstructing
governmental administration, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Michael Vitucci, 21, of Staten Island, allegedly threw a full 24-ounce
can of beer at two deputies, and fled the scene. He was apprehended and
charged with felony attempted assault on a police officer with a deadly
weapon, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, obstructing governmental
administration, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Abreu with issued an appearance ticket to court. Saunders was remanded
to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bond.
Vitucci was remanded on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
