Diana M. Monaco

Wappingers Falls – Diana M. Monaco, 80, an area resident for almost 53 years, passed away at home on March 24, 2024. She previously lived in the Bronx.
Born in Manhattan on May 8, 1943, Diana was the daughter of the late Anthony and Lucia (Diana) Ferreri. She was employed as Head Cashier at Sears in the Poughkeepsie Galleria for many years until her retirement.
Diana was an avid shopper who especially loved buying things for her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and playing Bingo. More than anything, she cherished the time she spent with her family who she loved more than anything.
On May 23, 1964, at St Lucy’s Church in the Bronx, Diana married William J. Monaco who survives at home after 60 years of marriage. She is also survived by her sons and their spouses, Anthony and Michaele Monaco of Hopewell Junction and William and April Monaco of Surprise, AZ; her grandchildren, Anthony and his wife Jaqueline, Sabrina and her husband Travis, Brooklyn, and Genesis; her great-grandchildren, Anthony III, Emma Lucille, Vito, and Carter; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Diana was also predeceased by her sisters, Sally Truffi and Angela LaRizza.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, April 1st at 10 am St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
