STUYVESANT – A 52-year-old Stuyvesant woman has been charged murder in connection with the stabbing death of her domestic partner.
State Police were called to a residence on Dolly Drive in Stuyvesant at around 6:15 p.m. on April 16 for a report of a stabbing. They found a victim, John Ford, 50, of Austerlitz, who had been stabbed. Officers attempted life-saving techniques, but he died of his wounds.
Preliminary investigation indicates during a domestic dispute, Diane Huyck stabbed Ford.
She was arraigned and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail pending a future court appearance.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s, District Attorney and Coroner’s Offices assisted at the scene along with State Police Troop K Forensic Investigation Unit and Troop K Major Crimes Unit.
