HUDSON – City Police in Hudson have arrested a 40-year-old man on an active felony warrant for violating sex offender registry requirements.

In June, a member of the public reported to police that Eugene Cobbins was not living at the address to which he was registered on the state’s sex offender registry.

A warrant was issued for his arrest and on October 12, he was located and taken into custody. Following arraignment, he was remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail.

In September 2019, Cobbins was arrested by Hudson Police on a similar felony warrant. In October of that year, he was convicted of attempted sex offender registry violation as a misdemeanor first offender.
