State Police seek witnesses to I-84 crash

WAWAYANDA – The New York State Police are seeking witnesses to a serious crash between a motorcycle and SUV that occurred on Saturday, September 12 at approximately 4:00 pm on I-84 in the town of Wawayanda.

The initial investigation revealed that a 1990 Harley Davidson motorcycle, being operated by David Snell, age 62 of Warwick, was entering Interstate 84 when he made contact with a 2018 Ford Explorer traveling east in the right lane near the exit 15B on/off-ramp.

Snell was transported by ambulance to Garnet Medical Center in Orange County where he is listed in critical condition.

State police were assisted by members of the New Hampton Fire Department and Mobile Life. This is an ongoing investigation. State Police Middletown are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call the state police in Middletown at 845-344-5300 and reference SJS 9816756.
