PORT JERVIS – A Port Jervis man faces up to 15 years in state prison if convicted for manufacturing and selling ‘ghost guns’ made from a 3D printer in his residence. Police confiscated a dozen of those weapons with no serial numbers after Noah James McCagg was arrested on Saturday, March 25 for possessing a loaded 9 mm pistol while on Front Street in Port Jervis in the afternoon.

A search warrant at McCagg’s Prospect Street home turned up the homemade weapons that are an extremely dangerous part of the drug trade, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.

“He’s not a firearms enthusiast; he’s a convicted felon at the age of 21 who is part of a narcotics investigation who is selling ghost guns to, who do you think, narcotics dealers,” the DA said.

The investigation was conducted by Port Jervis City Police, Deerpark Police, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and the DA’s office.

Police are investigating to determine if other ghost guns were created at the Prospect Street location and what became of those guns. Anyone with information is urged to call Port Jervis City Police.

McCagg was committed to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, $75,000 secured bond or $100,000 unsecured bond.
