Amsterdam woman killed in one-car Thruway crash

CATSKILL – An evening car crash on the northbound Thruway in the Town of Catskill has claimed the life of a 66-year-old Amsterdam woman, State Police report.

The driver, Regina Levine, was driving between the Saugerties and Catskill exits at around 6:40 p.m. on April 19 when for an unknown reason, her 2004 Ford Escape, traveling in the passing lane, ran off the road, went through a guiderail, struck an earth embankment and overturned.

The sole occupant of the car, Levine was transported to Albany Medical center  where she died from her injuries on Monday, April 22, troopers said.
