MONTICELLO – You might say stealing chairs from Kennedy Fried Chicken on Broadway in Monticello is for the birds. Surveillance video actually shows two seats flying the coop.Two men actually stole folding chairs from the restaurant and the owner of the eatery, Muhammad Idrees, is not happy about it.
“It’s upsetting. it really hurts you. Both chairs are worth $50, but the act itself? I don’t know how to explain this,” the frustrated owner said.
An unidentified man in a red jacket is seen on the video taking two chairs and walking out with them after they were folded and placed against the wall by the door by both men. The other unidentified man in a gray jacket proceeded to order food.
Idrees was shocked by how brazen they were and wants help identifying the men.
“They’re around here. They are on Broadway. A person must know them. I told the police I hated to report the theft of two chairs, but I did because what they did is not acceptable,” Idrees said.
