Armed ambulance squad member fights another, drawing police response

KERHONKSON – A fight reportedly between officers of the Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid Squad on Sunday drew a response from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and the State Police.  The incident was reported to 911 on Sunday at approximately 3:30 p.m., stating that two members of the squad were fighting and a weapon was involved.

While police were responding to the ambulance station on Route 209, they were advised that another member of the first aid squad called to report one person was armed with a pipe and was using it as a weapon.

Another caller to 911 reported that the two people involved were the president and vice-president of the organization.

David Linscott, according to records, is the president of the Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid Squad and Billy Beesmer serves as the squad’s vice-president.
